SLAVO KOŠECKÝ
The main reason behind it all is an old wooden swing at my parents place in Nitra. I was around 5 years old and used to sing folk songs there for ages. My biggest hit was "Cerveny kantar, biely kon" - another folk song..
When I got tired of the swing I was marching around garden still keeping the same level of noise. Then I left this active career for a while and went back to it as a student of university where with 2 classmates we established a gospel-folk group which worked for some time. Strangely I got involved with chorus singing while serving a mandatory time in army. It was a great way how to escape the typical life in barracks.
After my return and mainly after Velvet Revolution, in Nitra there we established a band dedicated to African gospels and later we started working on vocal jazz and pop rock. It was then for certain that I will stay making an a cappella music. Meantime I was offered to sing in Viennese Opera, where I stayed 5 theatrical seasons.
But love has lead me back to the town on the river Danube and so here I am singing with this amazing people with master degree in Agriculture.
